also known as Zach.
I'm an independent software developer who likes building practical software.
Most of my projects start with a pretty simple thought: "I wish there was a small tool that just did this."
I build desktop applications, developer tools and utilities with a focus on keeping things lightweight, understandable and useful. I generally prefer local-first software over unnecessary accounts, subscriptions and cloud dependencies.
My projects cover a fairly broad range, but you'll mostly find:
I work primarily with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Rust and Go, along with the usual web technologies.
I also have a background in engineering, electronics and hardware, so I'm usually happiest when I'm pulling something apart, figuring out how it works, or building something that probably didn't need to exist.
Indies support indies.
When I come across a cool game, tool or project made by another independent developer, I like sharing it, leaving feedback and supporting it where I can.
